Why we exist
Fountains of Hope Works to improve the lives of children in West Nile Uganda. It is mandated to provide holistic care and social attention to needy children including orphans, those who toil under exploitative conditions of labor, and those who suffer abuses and other forms of discrimination.
Poverty does more than exhaust, starve, trap and kill people. It destroys their sense of worth, limits their horizons, and robs people of the chance to reach their full potential. We do whatever it takes to end poverty and rebuild Hope for poor communities. We work through local churches, because they’re Jesus’ body on earth, ready to care for the whole person and the whole community – inside and out.
Our purpose
- To save the lives of children by providing medical care, food and nutrition and a loving home.
- To raise the children in our care to be productive and Godly people and to be a benefit to their community.
- To give children a high level of education to help them reach their lives in all its fullness.
- To give children a real chance to break the circle of poverty and dependence. By helping children move from lives of dependency to lives of self- sufficiency, they will have the confidence and knowledge to impact their communities with the grace they themselves have received.
- To be a blessing to the community by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, assisting the poor and the vulnerable wherever possible and to give sustainable hope for the children and their communities by the programs put in place by this ministry.
Our Statement of Faith
We believe in God the Father, creator of all things, giver and sustainer of life.
We believe that God the son, came to earth, died for our sin to reconcile us back to God, was raised from the dead and live forever more.
We believe in the Holy Spirit and His presence in the church to help, comfort and to lead us into repentance.
We believe in God infallible word.
We believe as Fountains of Hope Discipleship Ministries, that our mandate as Christ followers is to love God with all my heart, with all my mind, with all my strength and to love my neighbor as myself.
We believe every child has the right to live despite their health, economic or social level.
We agree with James 1: 27; ‘’ Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
