Fountains of Hope Discipleship Ministries (FOHDM) is a faith-based, community-driven organization committed to building a just and compassionate world where vulnerable children and women thrive through love, protection, and equal opportunities. Established in Nebbi District, West Nile Region, Uganda, FOHDM works at the grassroots level to empower children, families, and communities through holistic, inclusive, and sustainable programs.

Our Work
FOHDM implements programs in education, gender equality, food security, environmental stewardship, compassion ministries, and psychosocial support, addressing both immediate needs and long-term community transformation. By combining faith, empowerment, and practical action, FOHDM ensures that vulnerable children and women are not only protected but also equipped to lead fulfilling, dignified, and independent lives.
Brief History of the Organization
Fountains of Hope Discipleship Ministries (FOHDM) was founded in 2018 in Nebbi District, West Nile Region, Uganda, in response to the growing social and economic challenges affecting vulnerable children, women, and families in rural communities. Initially started as a small faith-based outreach and discipleship initiative, the ministry focused on spiritual growth, compassion outreach, and educational support for orphaned and disadvantaged children.
Over time, as community needs deepened due to poverty, displacement, gender inequality, and limited access to education, FOHDM expanded its scope to include education, livelihood empowerment, food security, gender justice, environmental stewardship, and psychosocial support programs.
In 2019, FOHDM was formally registered as a community-based organization (CBO) and later evolved into a non-governmental organization (NGO) operating across Nebbi and Pakwach Districts. The organization continues to partner with local communities, churches, schools, and government structures to deliver inclusive, sustainable, and community-led development initiatives.
Today, FHDM stands as a trusted local partner in advancing education, gender equality, and holistic community transformation, guided by its values of love, protection, justice, empowerment, and environmental stewardship.
